Alain Buet is a vocal teacher at the Coservatoire d’Alençon and since 2007 at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris. His career as both soloist and teacher has been enriched through contact with numerous influential musicians, amongst whom the conductors R. Weddle, H. Niquet, L. Equilbey, D. Stern, A. van Beek, J. Mercier and  M. Gester, singers such as G. Lesne, D. Visse and Howard Crook, and instrumentalists including P. Cohen, L. Stewart and Emmanuel Strosser.

His repertoire, encompassing both secular and religious styles, extends from the 16th – 2Oth centuries. He has acquired a considerable amount of stage experience appearing in operas by Handel, Mozart and Puccini conducted by J.-C. Malgoire, and in David et Jonathas  by Charpentier under the baton of W. Christie. His discography has recently been enriched with works by Stefano Landi, Delalande, Charpentier, Boismortier, Desmaret, Gossec, Mozart, Bernier and Rameau. He is also founder and director of the ensemble Les Musiciens du Paradis.
