Benoit Laurent studied the recorder with F. de Roos, the baroque oboe with Paul Dombrecht, Ann Vanlancker and Michael Niesemann, and the modern oboe with Sylvain Cremers.

In 2008 he got a second prize at the prestigious competition Musica Antiqua in Bruges, in the category soloist.

He is teaching the baroque oboe at the Hochschule für Musik Frankfurt and at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles.

Benoît gives concerts as orchestra musicien, soloist or chamber musician with famous ensemble (Concerto Köln, Amsterdam Baroque Orchestra, Orchestre des Champs Elysées, B’rock, Il Gardellino, les Agremens,…).
